J’ai adressé un message de soutien à Jeremy Corbyn, député travailliste et candidat au leadership du Labour Party, pour lequel les votes se concluaient hier soir.

Cher Camarade,

J’espère de tout cœur que tu seras élu leader du Labour Party de Grande-Bretagne, car je suis convaincue que tu peux redonner un souffle nouveau au peuple de gauche et au monde du travail en Grande-Bretagne, indispensable à une future victoire des travaillistes.

Ton élection à la tête du Labour Party sonnerait comme un vent de renouveau pour toute la gauche en Europe et serait un appel à une rénovation profonde du mouvement socialiste, social-démocrate et travailliste pour qu’il retrouve ses racines, son ancrage populaire et ses valeurs, et offrir une alternative contemporaine aux politiques libérales et d’austérité qui ont tant mis à mal nos modèles sociaux et la confiance des citoyens en leur avenir.

Je te souhaite plein succès ainsi qu’à tous les camarades du Labour Party pour réussir cette belle et indispensable entreprise de rénovation et de reconquête.

I hope with all my heart that you will be elected leader of the Labour Party in Britain, because I am convinced that you can give new momentum to the people of the left and  british working class, which is essential to a future victory of  the Labour party.

Your election as head of the Labour Party would sound like a renewal wind for the entire Left in Europe and would be a call to a profound renovation of the socialist, social-democratic and Labour movement so that it finds back its roots, its grassroots support and values, and offer a contemporary alternative to the liberal and austerity policies which have been undermining so much our social models and harmed people’s confidence in their future.
I wish you and all the comrades of the Labour Party to succeed  this beautiful and essential campaign of renovation and reconquest.
